Market Accents is delighted to announce that Principal and Founder Noreen Burroughes Cesareo is a finalist in the WinTrade Awards 2019.

Noreen was nominated in the Independent Women In Business Network. This category awards an independent female business network which has demonstrated consistent integrity and progressive thinking in support of entrepreneurial women in business. The nominees included entrepreneurs and networks which have promoted, profiled, supported, and networked women business owners with world-class intervention in producing positive outcomes for everyday business problems experienced by their audience and whose ability has made the businesses lives of their intended audience better because of its engagement. There will be three finalists and one winner sifted from nominations received with two highly commended recipients.

As a finalist, Noreen sees this as a platform to bring more visability to the networks she is involved in. Her nomination highlighted her work in women’s economic empowerment and girls’ education. She has volunteered her time freely over many years to push these causes forward, in the UK, around the Commonwealth and internationally. She is a trustee of the Commonwealth Girls Education Fund; sits on the UK APPG For Women in Enterprise Board as a Co-Chair for International Trade and Connections; A Pink Shoe Ambassador, Lead for Exports, Markets and Marketing within the first ever UK Economic Blueprint for women-owned businesses; and an associate specialist (Enterpreneurship and Education) within Women’s Economic Imperative (WEI) – a global, collaborative initiative to promote women’s economic empowerment.

Within these roles, Noreen is an active participant, seeking solutions, fund raising, carrying out research, developing thought leadership and working on advocacy projects that influence or change policy. She has actively participated in local and international events, driving forward agendas, and has spoken on radio and other media about the impact of women-owned businesses and gender equality. She is a very positive role model and has touched many people through her zest for life, her work on promoting gender equality and education.

Commenting on her shortlist as a finalist, Noreen said, “I am truly humbled to have come this far among so many worthy and amazing women nominees. In truth, we are all winners as the work we are doing is touching women entrepreneurs in a some way or another. What we are doing is leveling the playing field and bringing gender equity to play within global trade. I also would like to thank all the individuals who took the time to add their public vote.”

The Wintrade Awards are held annually in London, UK. They are unique in that they seek to elevate the value and profile of women Entrepreneurs  in the workplace. The awards have been held regularly since their inception in 1996 and the organisers describe them as a platform celebrating the success of women’s contributions , highlighting those who make a valuable contribution to the success of their country’s GDP and support the ethos of Womenomics – the success of women’s financial contribution to the global economy.

Judges for this year’s awards include Baroness Howells Of St Davids; Baroness Verma of Leicester; Carole Stone CBE; Carmen Breeveld; Vanessa Vallely; Elham Fardad; Donna Herdsman and Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE

This year’s awards will take place on June 28 2019 during the Gala evening at the prestigious Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster in London.

Noreen, an entrepreneur and active supporter of female economic empowerment and girls’ education, has been nominated from the London area for the Positive Role Model Award, Gender at The National Diversity Awards 2019.

The Awards, which will be held at the Breathtaking Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on 20th September 2019 bring together Britain’s most inspirational and selfless people, to honour the rich tapestry of our nation, recognising individuals and groups from across the UK.  The prestigious black tie event recognises nominees in their respective fields of diversity including age, disability, gender, race, faith, religion and sexual orientation.

Noreen’s nomination comes on the back of her work in women’s economic empowerment and girls’ education. She has volunteered her time freely over many years to push these causes forward, in the UK, around the Commonwealth and internationally. The National Diversity Awards receives over 25,000 nominations and votes annually.
